Composer Robbie Doerfler’s world unravels as he and his friends Roger and Rose pull together the strands of his music and personal narrative for one final backer’s audition whilst hounded by a disdainful documentarian named Charon. Blending operatic, musical theater, and filmic conventions, music history, fantasy, and docufiction, themes of creativity, identity, and mortality, culminate in a poignant and thought-provoking question: “Where do we go when we go up — is it Heaven?”
