Travis Braun

February 6, 1990

Travis Braun is a screenwriter. Originally from Ovalo, Texas, he graduated with high praise from Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana, before building a career as a television and film writer and producer. He currently resides in Burbank, California, and is represented by Echo Lake Management.

He is best known for creating the Disney Channel series Fast Layne (2019), Disney Junior’s T.O.T.S. (2019–2022), and Pupstruction (2023–present), for which he serves as creator and executive producer. Beyond those flagship shows, he has writing credits on Vampirina, Puppy Dog Pals, Muppet Babies, Monsters at Work, and contributed to Netflix’s Turbo FAST and the Nickelodeon short Charlie and Mr. Two.

Early in his career, Braun wrote and produced the “Doritos Dogs” commercial for Doritos’ Crash the Super Bowl contest. This spot won the $1 million grand prize and aired during Super Bowl 50. He also worked as a script coordinator on the CBS drama Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.

His creative inspirations often draw from his childhood in an auto‑racing family and his lifelong love of dogs—his family worked on race cars together, and he grew up with chocolate Labradors. These personal experiences heavily inspired Pupstruction, a show about a family construction team of dogs.

Braun holds the distinction of being Emmy‑nominated for his work as a writer and producer. Additionally, two of his screenplays received recognition on The Black List: Bad Boy was ranked #1 in 2023, and Dying For You appeared in 2022.

Finally, Braun has an ongoing overall deal with Disney Branded Television, enabling him to develop both animated and live‑action content for Disney’s platforms. Under this agreement, Pupstruction was greenlit for Disney Junior, and a Disney Channel Original Movie was put into development.
