Matt Mitchell is a humorist, an 8th-generation Alabamian, and a staunch defender of country music. He has been creating content online for over 10 years and was a member of the viral Southern sketch comedy channel, It’s a Southern Thing, for nearly 5 years. Matt has written and helped produce over 100 comedy sketches, which have over 2 billion views (yes, billion) on Facebook and YouTube. His sketch “If Genies Were Southern” won the 2021 People’s Choice Webby Award for Shortform Comedy Video, and he has two Emmy nominations for writing and hosting. In 2022, Matt departed It’s a Southern Thing to work full-time on his own channels, where he continues to entertain millions with his unique brand of Southern humor.
