Season 1
The recently widowed police officer Iris Broman travels from Stockholm to Ystad in southern Sweden, where she will reside in her sister's home while taking up the new position of leading the cold case unit in Malmö. A body is found and there is an unsolved murder from over 10 years ago, and Broman also has to deal with her personal trauma and complex relationship with her sister, Kattis. Kattis is married to a French man and her children are bilingual, while Broman has no children and no desire to have any.
01. The find
Iris Broman leaves her old life in Stockholm and shifts to her half-sister's house near the sea in Ystad. She joins the Kalla Fall group in Malmö as the new manager. On the day Iris begins her job, a skull is discovered in the forest.

The probe into the disappearance of Benjamin continues; Iris and Jens successfully find new leads, despite Kerstin's refusal to keep pursuing the case.

Iris is back in Malmö and continues the Benjamin case investigation; Iris gets into a fight with Kattis and goes to a hotel to be alone, but the memories of Christian haunt her.
