Gnad’s long pursuit comes to fruition when he finds the spell book set to end the creatures captured in the castle. The incident prompts Um Al-Duwais to conspire against him and free the creatures.
After the creatures’ release from capture, Um Al-Duwais entraps Gnad entailing a rescue quest by Afra, Gnad’s daughter, who along with a 4-member team sets to free her father and finish what he started.
Afra and her team head to a village aspiring to solve the first of the book’s four mysteries. Villagers welcome them warmly amidst a festive ambiance, yet a scary truth is yet to unfold upon nightfall.
Following their escape from the creatures’ grasp, Afra and the team manage to solve the first mystery whilst Um Al-Duwais intensifies her efforts to seize the spell book and sends her peculiar envoy.
Decoding the second mystery has the rescue team head to the vast desert of the Empty Quarter where they are introduced to more of Um Al-Duwais’s abilities to subject humans to her own will.
The team carries on the quest unaware that the vile creatures are on their trail. They surprisingly get lucky and come across a young man who extends help, yet has a surprise in store for them.
The battle with the latest antagonist ends in the team’s favour whereafter they retreat to the castle and face the rage of villagers while Um Al-Duwais casts a spell on one of the team members.
Afra sets to save her spellbound friend and relies on the rest of the team to detangle the third mystery. The mission takes place at a village dominated by an invisible creature.
The strife with the invisible creature proves to be unlike any of its precedents, as most villagers are totally void of sanity and the rescuers are forced to pay a dear price.
On their way back home, the rescuers pause their journey to seek an antidote for a casualty whereat they fall prey to the most vicious version of their aggressors, Um Al-Hailan.
Um Al-Hailan achieves what her fellow-creatures failed to do. She subdues the team and grants Um Al-Duwais her desire to hypnotize Afra and manipulate her dreams and subconscious.
Afra’s foggy dreams persist and entail a major rift among the team members. Afra receives an ambiguous lead guiding her to the solution of the book’s last mystery that resided at the castle cellar.
