From the top of the British Telecom tower high above London, Noel Edmonds presents a live outside broadcast uniting families and friends throughout the United Kingdom at locations in Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich and Plymouth. And also linking families in Australia, via satellite, with their loved ones in the UK. Mike Smith searches for Santa in Lapland. Noel is joined by a host of star guests both in Australia and the UK.

02. Episode 2

Noel will be uniting families and friends throughout the UK via BBC regional cameras, and satellites will beam in pictures of their loved ones abroad. Roving camera crews will be dropping in on viewers' celebrations, Gorden Kaye will be hosting a giant Christmas party at Gerry Cottle's Circus in Battersea Park, and Noel will be joined by a host of star guests both in the UK and abroad, plus exclusive performances by the world's top pop groups.

03. Episode 3

Noel's traditional Christmas show is packed with goodies; including international messages of goodwill and cheer, walks around the country, dedications from very important people and visits to some extremely unusual places. There's a chance to ring in and swap those unwanted Christmas presents, a look at 'Aunty's Bloomers', and a fast and furious studio game for some lucky families who could win a trip to visit friends or relatives overseas, aided and abetted by special celebrity guests.

With the help of Cliff Richard and the cast of Riverdance, Noel Edmonds brings surprises to deserving people, including a trip fora group of underprivileged children to meet the real Santa Claus in Lapland.

Noel Edmonds enlists the help of Prime Minister John Major and US President Bill Clinton to turn a young girl's poem for world peace into a spectacular event at Walt Disney World in Florida. Other guests fulfilling people's dreams are singers Chris de Burgh and Anthony Newley, star of the musical "Scrooge". Plus a party in Minsk, Belarus, for some Liverpool youngsters.

A boy meets Star Wars creator George Lucas ; a scout leader visits the African home of Baden-Powel and a wish to see elephants in their natural habitat becomes a reality. Noel Edmonds brings more surprises to deserving people.

12. Episode 12

Noel Edmonds once againjourneys around Britain and the world to spring surprises and give some very unusual presents to some very special people. This year gifts include a trip on the Orient Express, and visits to the Grand Canyon and Tanzania's Sere ngeti Plains.

Nearly a decade after this former festive mainstay was broadcast on the BBC, Noel Edmonds hauls his sack of once-in-a-lifetime gifts to Sky One and distributes them among the deserving. Highlights include a nine-year-old girl, who looks after both her disabled parents, being given a treat every young Harry Potter fan will envy.

Among this year's recipients are 10-year-old Cameron Small, who suffers from a rare blood disease and has had more than 800 visits to hospital. Edmonds also heads to Morpeth, Northumberland, which was devastated by floods this year, forcing many residents to leave their homes.
