Gathered from across the country, eight young women vie for a chance to start their own business. Thrown into a series of surprising challenges, who has what it takes to survive and win a $100,000 prize package to put them on the road to success?

Starting a business means you need a good idea and you need to find a problem that needs solving. Our girls test-drive their ideas on one of the toughest audiences they can find - New Yorkers. If they can make it here, they can make it anywhere.

New ideas need to be simple to communicate - like the classic :30-elevator pitch. But, what if you had to give a pitch while swinging on a trapeze or riding a mechanical bull? Our Starters find out the hard way that being clear is not so easy!

You can't start a business if you can't present a solid product. For both teams, creating prototypes is a daunting task. Whether up to their elbows in sugar and flour or talking tech with developers, our two teams are starting to sweat the details.

The Starters develop their brand name into a logo and tagline to identify their voice, messaging and audience, a make it or break it phase for any business.

The finalists reach for the $100,000 prize package as they're challenged to create a thirty second commercial, a financial plan and a final pitch presentation.
